1. Engine Speed Sensor
The grey wire is situated at the edges of the transmission, above the flywheel ring. The sensor sends an electrical signal through the grey wire to pin T55/49. The ECU uses this information to control the amount of fuel and boost. It also sends signals to the G5 tachometer inside the instrument cluster.
The sensor is used to correlate the G40 Camshaft position Sensor. The ecu has to be aware of when the crankshaft has reached TDC and also where the camshaft lies in order to activate the spark and injectors.
If this sensor fails the ECU will throw an error code P00160 which indicates that the Crank Shaft and Intake Camshaft are not in sync and possibly indicating the chain stretching or a jump link on the upper timing chain. The code won't show without the additional information provided by other sensors (G4 or G40).
It is a little tricky to test because there are different pins on the connector and each one has different functions. The most effective method to test it is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. It should read approximately 1000 ohms if the sensor is operating at its maximum. If you're experiencing issues with this part, check for signs of oil or coolant in the connector bay.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, when i was accelerating to the fullest speed from highway paytoll i had massive power loss as if the engine was running out of gas or injectors are not firing at all. I pulled out the spark plugs this morning and found that 3 were soaked in gasoline, and the fourth was unclean. I placed a tissue over each injector hole, and when i start the engine with no sparks, the 3 with gazoline jump out. The 4th one stays closed. I inspected the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55,30/55 and 48/55 I get zero Ohm. So i assume the problem is elsewhere.
I also tried to reset the PID without success. The car will start when the G28 is disconnected, but it is running fine with the G28 connected. However, the intermittent misfire problem persists at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for the coolant (G62) shows the wrong temperature of -49c even when i unplug it. Also, i noticed that the gauge for oil pressure in the cockpit is showing 2 bar while the actual pressure is 0.0 if i crank up the engine.

3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump in the g28 receives signals from the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter is the same as the G4 and both are used in the 80 100, 200, UrS and RS2 cars so you can easily find one at a wrecking yard or in a local parts store. Test them out to do - just put your DMM in resistance mode and measure the resistance between pins 1 (with the bump on the connector's end up) and 2 (2nd read more from the left on the black end of the connector).
